The Seaton Parkrun, held on the middle Saturday of October, was the 100th such running of the event, writes Dave Mutter.
On the day, the presence of Storm Callum added an extra challenge and the route had to be amended.
However, among the 176 participants and volunteers were many AVRs: the first AVR home was Matt Hewer in a time of 20:03, for a fourth placed finish overall.
The first woman home was AVR Eleanor Wood in 22:55. There was also an award presented to AVR John Mellowdew to acknowledge the fact that he has completed the most Seaton Parkruns – this latest being his 68th out of the first 100!
A total of 34 AVR members finished the Parkrun. Unsurprisingly, given the very blustery conditions, none recorded a new personal best.
