The past week was a very successful one for the Seaton bowlers, Glen Elliott.

The first of three friendly matches was a meeting with Swindon-based touring side Westlecott against whom the six rinks were shared, but Seaton took the overall honours with a 113-85 success.

The top rink was the one of C Anton, K McCarthy, and the sparkling Sue Dando.

Next up, a visit to local rivals Sidmouth where, once again the rinks were shared at two-all, but once more Seaton emerged on top to the tune of a 73-66 score line.

At Sidmouth, the best of the Seaton rinks was the one of E Keller, R Hudson, K McCarthy, and Di Morley.

Then it was off to Bradninch for what turned out to be an extremely friendly four rink match, with wins on three of the four rinks while the home side enjoyed success on just the one.

At Bradninch, the top Seaton rink was the one of R Hudson, I Manchester, Wizard Yaxley and P Grigg.

Both the ladies triples teams were in action. The Blue team won 61-18 at Pinces Gardens 61-18 and the Red team were 33-22 winners at Sidmouth.

The top performing rinks were, for Blue, L Hurley-Smith, M Vessey and P Whitworth, and, for Red, M Nicholas, L Allison, and a smiling Sue Banwell-Moore.

The men's A team were also in action, albeit on a very cold wet afternoon when they entertained Okehampton B, winning on one rink and drawing on the other on their way to an overall 40-26 success.

The top Seaton rink was the one of A Woods, P Barradell, and T Hurley-Smith.

On the same wet cold day, the men's C team continued their good form with a convincing 29-11 win with success on both rinks against Wellington C with the top rink being the one of G Elliott, K Taylor and A Deakin.
