The home side had a very welcome win which lifted them up the table. In a game that Millwey dominated James Morgan opened the scoring from the penalty spot. This was added to by an own goal and Mark Pike adding two more before the visitors opened their account to leave the half-time score at 4-1 in Millwey’s favour.

In a dominant second period the home side added three more with Pike bagging another brace to make his tally four and Dave Bridges getting on the score sheet.

The visitors did score again, but posed no threat to a rampant home side.

For Millwey, Matt Rocket was a worthy winner of the Man of the Match award, but a special mention for youngsters Liam Best, Frank Johnson and Chris Pritchard, who helped Millwey secure valuable points.

Next up for the team is Saturday’s (April 21) home league game against Sandford Reserves.
