Feniton celebrate the stars of the 2018 outdoor season

Feniton Bowling Club held its Annual Dinner and Presentation Evening at the Honiton Golf Club, writes Roger Smith.

The club enjoyed a successful season with the men’s team reaching the last 16 of the County Trophy Competition, the over 60s B team winning Division Five of the Exeter and District Over-60s Triples League and the ladies team winning the B Division of the Over-50s Triples League.

The presentations for the club competitions were made by the captain, Graham Phillips and the respective winners and runners-up (shown in brackets after each winner, were:-

Club singles – Kevin Lovering (Dave Sanders); Men’s singles – Kevin Lovering (Alan Smith); Ladies singles – Tracey Crawford (Vanessa Murdoch; Men’s handicap – Dave Sanders (Alan Smith); Men’s two-wood – Roy Lovering (Dave Sanders); Ladies two-wood – Judy Smith (Di Phillips); Three-bowl singles – Graham Phillips (Dave Sanders); Club pairs – Di Phillips and Dave Sanders (Graham Phillips and Roger Binmore); Three-bowl pairs Glyn Blackmore and Graham Phillips (Di Phillips and Dave Sanders); Husband and wife – Arthur and Vaness Murdoch (Stuart and Tracey Crawford); Sir John Acland – Bill Bowden (Arthur Murdoch); Founders Shield – Bill Bowden (Arthur Murdoch).
