Exmouth Judo students presented with awards

Local judo buffs from John Goldman’s Exmouth Judo Centre, who gathered together for the 2018 end of year judo awards, were joined by Exmouth Mayor councillor Bruce De Searum and his wife.

Councillor De Serum congratulated all the students for their dedication and prowess to their sport.

Judo Master John Goldman, black belt seventh Dan, and his daughter Ruth a black belt fifth Dan and ex international, run classes at the Exmouth Leisure Centre.

In terms of the awards that were handed out; the Pupil of the Term award went to Tyler Taylor and the Effort award went to James Auton.

The award for Etiquette, went to Seb Broom and Oskabah Leeson-Kings was presented with the Perseverance award. The Spirit of Judo award went to Tom Price and the Competitor award was won by Riley Withers. The Most Improved honour went to Daniel Coe and the coveted Pupil of the Year award went to Mitchell Brockway.
