Angela Kerr and Simon Davey ran the Exeter Marathon whilst Martin Kerr and Bec Davey ran its little brother, the Exeter 10, writes Dave Mutter.

Simon achieved his goal of a sub four-hour marathon with a time of 3:58:59.

Angela was happy to complete her second marathon this year in 4:32:07.

In the 10-mile race, Martin was very pleased with his time of 1:44:58 and Bec, whose knee went at five miles, ran the first five and walked the last five to complete it in 2:11:29 (well there was a beer as the prize so she wasn’t going to give that up!).

AVR’s dominated last Saturday’s Seaton Parkrun which was won by Terry Emmett in 18:50 with John Blackledge finishing second in 19:21.

Matt Hewer was third in 19.25.

The first lady home was N1 Tri Club athlete Jane Beech in 22:52.
