Exmouth Reserves made it five wins from seven Scott Richards Solicitors Devon League North and East games when they beat Alphington 4-1 at a wind-swept Southern Road.

It was the Alphas who struck first, netting midway through the first half, but the response was excellent and parity was swiftly restored with Morgan Cullen scoring to leave honours event at half-time.

After the break the young Town side took charge and took the lead with a clam finish from Josh Gresham after a terrific pass from Tom Baldwin.

It was soon 3-1 with Tom Preece executing a clinical lobbed shot.

The icing on the cake for an exceptional turnout of 58 when Cullen finished what he started, netting Town’s fourth and final goal.

In what was another superb all-round team performance, Josh Gresham was named Man of the Match for Town who are back in action on Saturday (October 10) away at Chudleigh.
