This latest success means that the team coached by Addy Carpenter has now gone five games unbeaten in their first season in the top flight!

It took only two minutes for the Otters to take the lead, Sam Gleeson powering home a penalty after Finn Upsher was tripped in the box.

Upsher doubled the lead after 10 minutes, netting from close range, and, with George Durham showing some nifty footwork down the right flank, the Otters took complete charge of proceedings.

Crediton tried to hit back, but they got no change out of the outstanding Otters’ skipper Finn Lashbrook who, at one stage, put his body on the line to ensure a goal-bound effort stayed out of the net!

With Finn Giles linking well with Upsher, the Otters went in search of a third, but it was the Mid Devon side that struck next, rifling home an unstoppable shot past keeper Jack Hembrow.

Being pegged back sparked a superb response from the Otters and, just five minutes later, the two goal advantage was restored as forward Ollie Milton showed great determination to pounce onto a loose ball and fire home from 10 yards. Just before the break the lead was extended when midfielder Jack Carpenter struck a sweet volley and the Otters trooped off with a 4-1 interval lead.

After the break, with Man of the Match Carpenter and Jake Blackmore bossing the midfield, the Ottery domination continued. However, Crediton carried a threat on the break and it needed a stunning save from glovesman Hembrow to deny them a second.

The final word was had by Upsher as he hooked home a Carpenter free-kick, wrapping up the scoring while also notching his 10th goal of the season.
