There was a nail-biting finish at Ottery St Mary where Bideford scrambled a tie off the final ball of the game.
Dan Flower (53) and Henry Mutter (61) both made half-centuries in Ottery's 263 all out.
Tim Cooke (3-44) was Bideford's leading wicket taker.
Pete Stevens (44) gave Bideford some impetus that Chris Luxton (43), Keith Berry (59) and Marten Stanbury (44no) maintained.
The last over from Mutter arrived with 14 needed to win and Stanbury and Darren Willcocks the not-out batters.
The target was down to two after four balls, then Willcocks got out. Dan Smith and Stanbury scuttled through for a bye to tie from the last ball.
