Forget me not Service urgently needs more helpers in Axminster, Seaton and Honiton

Volunteers are needed to help run reminiscence sessions for groups of elderly East Devon folk.

The Forget me not Service operates across Axminster, Seaton and Honiton and has proved so popular the charity desperately needs more people to help run it.

The project is run by Action East Devon and has received funding from Axminster hospital League of Friends and the Dunhill Medical Trust.

Reminiscence sessions are available for older people and groups can meet anywhere there is a quiet, comfortable, space with room for up to 10 people.

The Forget me not Service has grown from, and compliments, the Axe Valley Visiting Scheme. It consist of a group of trained and supported volunteers who give time on a regular basis to running reminiscence groups using memory boxes.
