Children stage a mock marriage ceremony at the parish church
Seaton Primary School enjoyed a special morning attending their very own wedding ceremony.
As part of the religious education curriculum, the children have spent time learning about how Christians and other faiths celebrate marriage.
This resulted in a mock wedding at St Gregory’s church.
Pupils played the parts for the bride and groom, bridesmaids, ushers, best man and father and mother of the bride and groom, while other children and staff were wedding guests.
Afterwards, the school offered a ‘massive thank-you’ to the vicar, the Reverend Jeremy Trew, who led the service, and to Just Flowers, of Seaton, who generously donated the flowers. A special mention was also made to youngsters Danielle and Thomas, who played the bride and groom.
“They played their parts beautifully,” said a spokeswoman for the teachers.
