Dr Joe Pitt will be raising money for the Seaton Friends Hospiscare @ Home nurses
Retired Seaton GP Dr Joe Pitt will be making his first attempt to complete London Marathon on April 23.
He is raising money for Seaton Friends Hospiscare @ Home. This service, run by Hospiscare and totally funded by Seaton and District Hospital League of Friends, is provided by a wonderful team of nurses.
They care for adults who attend Seaton, Colyton or Beer GP practices and are nearing the end of their lives.
The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Dr Pitt has been training hard for his firs London marathon – taking his dog on long runs. He also took part in the tough Grizzly race at Seaton last month.
But he says running the streets of London will be a bit different from a pebble beach, precipitous cliffs and uneven paths through woods and across fields.
Sponsorship forms are available in the GP surgeries, the League of Friends’ Charity Shop and Seaton Hospital.
