Award-winning flower arranger Jackie Nicholls says the workshop results were ‘stunning’
Creating floral bird nests was the theme of the latest flower arranging workshop at Combe St Nicholas village Hall
Working on a rustic theme tutor Jackie Nicholls, from Ashville Design, showed how to make the nest from twigs and other foraged materials. She then filled them with beautiful seasonal flowers.
Amongst the attendees were Julia Yates and Carole Hanna, from Axminster.
Julia said: “I really enjoyed the challenge. Filling it with flowers made this an arrangement that was stunning. The bonus was to be able to reuse this creation all year round. It was wonderful.”
Said Jackie Nicholls: “The nests took time to make but were well worth the effort. Filling them with flowers was the icing on the cake – the results were simply stunning. Every lady who came to this workshop should be extremely proud of themselves.”
