A 35 closed at Kilmington following serious accident

Two cars involved in collision between Whitford Road and the B3261

The A35 at Gammons Hill, Kilmington is currently closed (4.40pm Wednesday, June 28) both ways after a serious accident.

Two cars were involved in a collision between Whitford Road and the B3261.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters had released people who were trapped in the vehicles, who had been taken to hospital.

A spokesperson said: “There was one person medically trapped in one vehicle and two persons medically trapped in the second vehicle.

“All of the casualties were released from the vehicles in liaison with the ambulance service by removing the roofs from both vehicles.

“One further person, who was not trapped, was also treated. All casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.”
