Forches Cross Primary School pupils join Anne Wilson of Dance Fit and a special guest at the grand finale of a day long 'zumbathon'.

Christmas Zumba comes to Barnstaple.

A ‘zumbathon’ of truly festive proportions took over at Forches Cross Primary School in Barnstaple on Thursday.

Children and staff spent the entire day in a massive Christmas Zumba, dancing to pulsating rhythms throughout the day.

They learned a variety of dances – including a hip hop version of Jingle Bells – as the dance fitness craze took the school by storm under the guidance of zumba instructor Anne Wilson of Dance Fit.

She taught everyone one particular dance for a grand finale zumba session – when even Santa put in an appearance.

All the pupils attended school in their brightest and most luminous zumba colours and learned to make sparkly Christmas shakers through the day.
