Due to good audience response, Exmouth’s Ocean has extended its series of free-admission jazz nights on Thursday evenings.

The season – featuring jazz quartet All Jazzed Up – will continue until September, with a guest (or guests) every week. This evening (Thursday, May 18), it’s the turn of acclaimed jazz vocalist Annika Skoogh.

The Exeter-based Swedish singer is making a name for herself on the jazz club and festival circuit as a vibrant and adventurous singer with a natural talent.

Born in South America and raised in Sweden, she performs an eclectic mix of jazz, swing, Latin and blues, and occasionally sings in Spanish, Portuguese and her native Swedish.

The show is at the top-floor Ocean Deck. Doors are 6.30pm, with live music from 7.45pm.

Annika Skoogh will also be appearing at the Exmouth Festival with her Latin/Brazilian band Orpheus (Sunday, May 28, Imperial Rec’) and with her jazz quartet (Thursday, June 1, Manor Gardens).
