Tipton St John have more reasons than most of our local sides to hope they can finally get back onto a pitch on Saturday (January 13).

That’s because Tipton have not played since December 9 and so if Saturday’s game at Lympstone does go ahead it will be a first outing for the team in a period of five weeks.

Newton Poppleford, like Tipton, were washed out last weekend and they will be seeking to play for the first time since December 16, when they make the long trip to Bow where they will be seeking a third successive Macron League Division Two win.

The Popples have played at Bow already this season, going down 1-0 in a Bill Slee Cup tie in early September.

Other local sides in action on the second Saturday of January are Sidmouth Reserves, who visit Lapford, Sidmouth thirds are at Bravehearts and the Town fourths are set to host Millwey Rise.

Otterton entertain Pinhoe in a Division Three game and Newton Poppleford Reserves host Kentisbeare.
