Exmouth United Under-14s chalked up a sixth successive Exeter and District Youth League victory with a 5-2 win at Twyford Spartans.

The opening stages belonged to the impressive home side with some excellent passing. However, United struck first with Jay Leballeur latching onto a Dylan Mogford throw-in before drilling the ball home.

Parity was restored before half-time, but, after the break, United increased the intensity of their performance with Seb Harrison at the heart of it all. Harrison was inspirational from central midfield, linking superbly with both Leballeur and Cayleb Field, who each found the back of the home net before Harrison topped off his superb individual performance rifling home a tremendous free-kick.

Spartans hit back with a second goal of their own and were denied further goals by the excellent defending of skipper Daniel Alford and United glovesman Lewis Fulls. United finished what they started, netting the game’s seventh and final goal with winger Bryn Stephens chipping the ball up and over the home goalkeeper to round things off on a polished note.

United team: Lewis Fulls, Harry Bassett, Tom Price, Daniel Alford, Harry Kifli-Reynolds, Cayleb Field, Seb Harrison, Dylan Mogford, Bryn Stephens, Finn Glanfield, Lewis Evans, Jay Leballeur, Patryk Plachecki, Harry Bowley.
