Madeira trio head for National Finals at Melton Mowbray

Three Madeira ladies have travelled North to play in the National Triples Finals.

Christine Macaulay, Liz Smerdon and Sue Harriott journeyed to Melton Mowbray with the very best wishes of their club mates

back at headquarters the club competitions are moving towards conclusions.

In the ladies’ 2-wood triples Gill Morrish, Norma Cureton and Jan Roberts won 16-14 against Jose Glaister, May Dyson and Jenny Smith.

In the Bob Caddy open 2-wood singles, Catherine King won 21-19 against John Flockhart.

Meanwhile, in the Frank Deeves mixed pairs there was joy for Nikki Fiddimore and Mike Gorman with a 16-11 success over Angela and Nigel Denner whilst Graham Clarkson and Catherine King won 16-11 against Dee Williams and Cliff Skinner
