Firstly, a very big well done to Barry Rattenbury, Alan Nabarro, Bob Turpin, Richard Cridge, Phil Stephens & Glen Broom who, as Percy Baker West Three, gave a very strong team from Poole Park a run for their money, writes Paul Moffitt.

There was little in it throughout the 18 ends with Poole Park getting across the line by five shots.

With the league season now finished it was just friendlies that the club played over the past week.

Lyme managed to win all three with an especially good win by the ladies against Northants ladies tour. The other successes were against Queen Camel and Potton tourists.

Special thanks to Gill Willcox, Frances Hewitt andPamela Daters from Bridport who kindly made up the numbers for the Northants tour.

Paul Moffitt and Jim Moseley were honorary ladies for the day, again to make up the numbers.
