Exmouth United Under-14s continued their strong start with an 8-1 home win over Millwey Rise.

In a bright start United were a whisker away from an early goal when Bryn Stephens played in Cayleb Field, but the striker saw his shot hit the upright.

However, it was the visiting side who struck first, courtesy of a clinical finish.

United restored parity quickly with a fine individual effort from right winger Jay Leballeur.

Once level, United took charge and left winger Patryk Plachecki was involved in the next two goals – the first an own goal and the third a second for Leballeur. It was a case of scorer turned provider for the fourth goal as Leballeur created the assist for Field to make it 4-1. There was still first-half time left for Finn Glandfield to net and send United into half-time with a 5-1 advantage.

After the break, any bid by the visitors to net a second was thwarted by the well-organised home defence of Seb Harrison, Dylan Mogford, Harry Bassett and Harry Kifli-Reynolds, while Harry Bowley was notable for his range of passing from right back.

Goal number six was created by Lewis Fulls and scored by Leballeur, who completed his hat-trick.

Dylan Mogford rifled home a shot from the edge of the box for number seven and the scoring was rounded off by a superb free-kick taken by Lewis Evans. Mention ought to be made of the part played by United skipper Daniel Alford, who made a number of fine saves to deny Millwey any more than their one first half goal.

United team: Daniel Alford, Lewis Fulls, Harry Bassett, Harry Kifli-Reynolds, Cayleb Field, Seb Harrison, Dylan Mogford, Bryn Stephens, Finn Glanfield, Lewis Evans, Jay Leballeur, Patryk Plachecki, Harry Bowley.
