With the arrival of more autumnal conditions, the Honiton Seniors week started with an away match at Long Sutton resulting in a 4 - 2 loss, writes John Pawley.

Then, on Tuesday, Lyme Regis were the welcome visitors to Honiton, for the last inter club match of the season.

An away leg loss by 4-2 earlier in the month was turned completely around by a 5-1 home win.

The results of the Ronnie Pew knockout competition were announced with Bob Cockett, having a purple patch lately, winning the Cup for this year.

Second was David Morris with John Fleetwood and David Woodruff the losing semi-finalists.

The Bowmaker competition on Friday attracted 66 players. The winners were the late entry team of Peter and Gorge Blake playing with Jim Kerr with their 73 score. On 71 were Dave Maggs, George Smith and Robert Canterbury, with Tony Williams, John Fleetwood and Garth Millard third with their 70, but only on countback from Jim Wallis, Ron Jones and Mike Delaney.

Twos were recorded by Bob Cockett, David Pearson, Dave Morgan, Alan Pollock and Eric Short.
