Holyrood’s latest crop of talented year seven rugby players got their season off to a flying start with a huge win against a good Gryphon School, Sherborne.

Holyrood played with pace and physicality to score 12 unanswered tries. Billy White, Oli Hawker, Finlay Downes and George Chapple were outstanding, but Player of the Match was Oliver Marlow, who was playing his first ever game of rugby.

Holyrood Head of Rugby Simon Jenkins said: “This is certainly a very exciting group of players. I’m really looking forward to working with them over the next five years to help them get even better.”

The Holyrood team comprised of Robbie Hunt, Finlay Downes, Cody Cornelius, Oliver Browning, Lawrence Hinkley, Cian Brown, Gavin Lewis, Billy White, Oli Marlow, Oli Hawker, Nathan Kneeshaw, Osscar Collins, George Chapple and Luke-Ashley Rolfe.
