Feniton at full strength for Heavies visit

Feniton sat out a sixth Saturday in the last eleven as the weather once again put paid to their chances of playing.

This time the problem was a snow bound pitch at Willand Rovers.

Feniton boss Mark Kingdon said: “It is so frustrating, but there is little we can do about it. With the forecast suggesting that we may yet have a couple more weeks of freezing conditions it doesn’t look like changing any time soon! It does not concern me too greatly for we have a fully committed squad this season who are a champing at the bit to play and so, when the games do start coming thick and fast at us, we will be fully prepared.”

This Saturday Feniton are scheduled to entertain Heavitree Social United at Acland Park who they drew 2-2 with when the sides met in Exeter earlier in the campaign.

Kingdon says: They are a god side and very capable of beating the best in the Fresha League. For our part we have Alex Frankpitt and Matt Hesford back for the weekend so that boosts significantly our options.”

Former Exmouth Town player Ali Sawyer’s registration is now complete and he will make his Feniton debut alongside Mark Simic at the heart of the Feniton defence.
