Exmouth Town lost their opening game under the stewardship of new manager Ryan Harris, going down 2-1 to Okehampton Argyle.

Town took the lead through Adam Wilkinson on 25 minutes with then hosts replying just before half-time.

Exmouth played some great football in the second half, but the visitors bagged all three points with their second goal, scored just before the hour mark.

Town, with seven players under the age of 18 in their ranks, created four excellent late chances, but were unable to put any of them away and slipped to a narrow defeat.

Town thirds also suffered a narrow defeat when they lost 2-1. Tedburn took the lead, but a Sam Cox strike restored parity before the interval.

After the break, Town fashioned a number of chances, but were not able to take any and they conceded a second to the home side that saw them narrowly beaten.

Exmouth Town Under-11s enjoyed a good win in their Exeter and District Youth League game at Central while the Under-13s drew 1-1 with Lympstone. The Lympets took the lead with a close-range finish from Tom Paynter and, with only a few minutes remaining it seemed as if that goal would win the game for his side. Town, however, had other ideas and hit straight back with a neat finish from Tyler Cunningham – the assist was down to Will Lucas – and honours ended even.

On Sunday, the unbeaten Town Under-18s travelled to meet another unbeaten side, Newton Abbot.

Town took the lead when a 40-yard pass from central defender Dan Cullen found Josh Gresham, who then took on, and beat, three defenders, before drilling the ball home.

After the break Town dominated possession and deservedly doubled their lead when a through-ball from Tom Bray found Morgan Cullen, who rifled a shot home from 30 yards! The home side pulled a goal back 10 minutes from time, but Town were not to be denied another splendid three points and the win sees Town now as the new table-toppers in the Devon League.
