On Saturday evening several Exmouth Harriers competed in the Hay Tor Heller, an increasingly popular event starting and finishing near the iconic Hay Tor, writes Cathy Newman.

Whilst not able to come close to the ascent of Snowdon, this is a very challenging race race with several climbs and tricky descents over the moorland around Hay and Hound Tors.

Hugh Marsden produced the performance of the day with a win in the M55 category in 54:06 for 47th overall.

James Kelly was the first Harrier to finish with 33rd place in 50:51, Scott Jordon ran a good race for 60th in 56:13 with Terry McKie close behind in 69th place with 58:09.

The team finished sixth overall and there were 275 individual finishers.
