Archant

Jo Donmal held her Axe Cliff Lady Captain’s Day last Wednesday and the players were presented with some useful items on the first tee including a ball marker, then selected one or two – which represented the odds (1) or evens (2) indicating which holes would double our stableford scores, writes Pete Motson.

It was a cool start to the morning which warmed up as the round progressed. On completion of the rounds Jo treated all who took part to wine / drinks plus a very enjoyable buffet and she then presented the cup and other prizes.

The trophy winner was Margaret Kenchinton with 55 points which included 36 on her doubled up holes. In second place was Helen Kenworthy with 49 points - 32 on the doubled up holes.

In third was Pauline Willis with 46, and she too scored 32 on the doubled up holes.

All the players enjoyed a small treat from the lady captain.
