Despite a wonderful hole-in-one for Tom Spencer, he had to be happy with second spot in Division Two of the monthly medal, writes Dave Bruce.

It was Dave Morgan who ended up taking the honours, albeit after countback with both he and Tom returning scores of nett 76.

In the September Medal round there were even more impressive scores seen in Division One with Stuart Mackie keeping up his good form, hitting an amazing nett 66 and edging out Chris Glover, who hit a fine nett 68.

Dave Morgan also did well in the Monthly Stableford, but had to be satisfied with third.

In what was a close competition, Steve Gibson took first spot with 37 points and Dave Steele took second place on countback, with his score of 36 points. Stuart and Steve were the only ones to get a two on the day.
