Sidmouth community invited to college fund-raising car boot sales

THE first of planned monthly car boot sales at Sidmouth College begins on Sunday, April 29, from 9.30am to 12pm.

Organised by Sidmouth College Association, these fund-raising car boot sales will be held on the last Sunday of the month, excluding August.

Pitches are £5 with free entry for buyers. There will be refreshments, indoors and out.

To book a table call 01395 513382 or email: bishopam@btopenworld.com.

SCA chairman, Anne Bishop, said most of the money raised by the association was used to purchase equipment for teaching departments.

“We helped the drama department buy a twin CD player and music a keyboard, now they are looking for something towards a new piano,” she said.

“It would be nice to get more of the public in. We serve the local community and can provide somewhere for the community to sell and buy or recycle items on a small level.”

This is the second year the SCA has run car boot sales on a regular, once a month basis.
