Axminster-based healthy eating charity HALFF raised more than £250 at a quiz night.

The well-attended event took place at The Lamb Inn where quiz mistress, Bev Love, tested people’s general knowledge.

The winning team consisted of Bron Edwards, Mark Mear, Tracy Meaker and Wayne Ridout whose prize was a ‘Go Local veg Box’.

The wooden spoon went to Amy Shiner, Sam Hill, Tim Bennett, Jack Goldsworthy and Alicia Atterbury.

A spokeswoman for HALFF thanked everyone who supported the event, The Lamb for hosting it and Bev for putting together a great selection of questions and puzzles.

She added: “The £253 raised will help us to continue our food projects in the local community.”

HALFF’s vision is ‘to improve people’s health and wellbeing by changing the way we eat and developing essential life skills’.
