The boxes will ensure children across the world receive something this Christmas.

MORE than 50 shoeboxes have been packed with Christmas gifts for children across the world by West Buckland School.

Pupils took part in ‘Operation Christmas Child’ which aims to make sure children in developing countries can receive small gifts.

The school’s student chapel committee coordinated the effort across the school, which also included boys and girls from West Buckland’s Prep School.

Beth Woollacott, a sixth former at the school, said: “It’s been a fantastic response from all at West Buckland School. Our shoeboxes will mean many children in Africa who have very little will receive gifts this Christmas.”
