A woman’s body has been found near Combe Martin in the search for missing woman Catherine Yearsley.

Officers were called by the Coastguard just after 6pm yesterday (Thursday, October 18) after reports of a body located near Golden Cove, between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin.

Whilst formal identification has yet to have taken place, the family of Catherine Yearsley, aged 50, who had been missing since Sunday, have been informed of this development.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Catherine was last seen leaving her address at 8.30am on Sunday in her light blue Landrover Freelander.

Police issued a widespread appeal to find Catherine and her vehicle, which was shared widely in the area.
