Safar ‘so good’ for supplying the team with a new kit

Axminster’s lady cricketers got to takeaway brand new outfits -thanks to the town’s Safar Indian Restaurant.

The new kit, proudly carrying the eatery’s logo, was showcased at the team’s recent match against Hatherleigh.

Chris Poulier, from Safar said: “Sponsoring Axminster Town Cricket Club’s ladies team will bring us a great deal of pleasure as we share in their already successful season.”

Sue Elsworth, Ladies’ XI manager said: “Sponsorship is an essential part of the success of the club. We are incredibly grateful to Chris and the team at Safar and to Rotary for supporting us. We are always looking for new members and welcome everyone, whether experienced or new to cricket.”

Located on Woodmead Road, Safar has been supported by Axminster Carpets Property Co to transform the Old Weighbridge into a restaurant.

Added Mr Poulier: “I am very grateful from the support of the landlord to make my dream of running my own restaurant a reality.”

* Safar Restaurant is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also offer takeaway. To view their menu or book a table visit www.safarrestaurant.co.uk.
