Otterton: silverware stolen from church

A police appeal has been launched following the theft of silverware from Otterton church.

Police in Exmouth are appealing for information following a theft of silverware from Otterton.

Devon and Cornwall police said the theft was from Church of St Michaels & All Angels in Otterton, East Devon, sometime between Sunday January 20 and Thursday January 24.

A police spokesperson said: “The offender(s) entered the church during daylight when the church was unlocked and stole silverware from the vestry.

“Amongst items stolen were a silver wafer box holder, three silver chalices and a small silver dish.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses or to anyone who has information regarding the theft.
