Club raises money to support three worthy causes

Axminster Young Farmers have raised £5,658.96 for three charities so far this year.

Recipients are ELF, Cancer Research and Papworth Hospital. The charities were chosen because they have helped and supported past and present members of the club.

The funds were raised through a Boxing Day Dip at Seaton, a Big Breakfast at Axminster Guildhall and a cream tea in July following the marriage advisory member Mark Rowe.

These three events were all very successful and we cannot thank everyone who has supported us in being able to raise these funds for charity.

Recently members presented cheques to both ELF and Cancer Research and they will be presenting Papworth Hospital’s share in the near future.

Axminster YFC is always looking to recruit new members and anyone interested in joining is invited to an open meeting at the Ridgeway Inn, Smallridge, at 8pm on Monday, October 15. For more information call Chloe on 07456 401406.
