Once again donations flood in for food and bedding appeal organised by local couple.

A MOUNTAIN of tasty treats and toasty blankets has been donated by North Devon’s generous animal lovers this Christmas.

The annual Dogs Trust Appeal organised by Joanne and Jim Bell from Yelland has this year expanded to include Barnstaple Cats Protection.

Throughout December, the result has been a small avalanche of pet food, biscuits, toys, blankets, towels and soft treats, now safely delivered to the two charities.

“People have been incredibly kind and generous,” said Mrs Bell.

“On behalf of all the dogs and cats this will help, we would like to say a big thank you to everybody who has donated.”
