A group of cyclists raised almost £200 for the Stallcombe House residents when they visited the Woodbury farm for their annual visit.

The Exeter Cycling Touring Club (CTC) members donated £194 to the Stallcombe House Charity when the riders stopped off at the Sanctuary Lane home and workplace of adults with learning disabilities.

A Stallcombe House spokesman said: “Residents and staff provide a range of teas, coffee, homemade scones and cakes with lashing of Devonshire clotted cream.

“All was gladly received by the hungry cyclists, some having cycled from Wellington and Torquay, and other outlying areas.

“Each week the Cycling Touring Club riders visit different locations, known as their Thursday coffee pot stop.

“This week they generously donated £194 towards our Stallcombe House Charity.”

Stallcombe House is a residential working environment for adults with a learning disability; it has a holistic and organic approach to personal health and the living environment, within a rural setting.
