Historian Peter Lacey’s latest work will be launched next week

The Friends of Lyme Regis Museum is hosting the launch of local historian Peter Lacey’s new book - ‘Elizabethan Lyme Regis with a Biography of Sir George Somers’ - on Friday, November 24, in the Woodmead Hall.

People are asked to arrive at 6.45pm for a 7pm start and admission will cost £2.

Peter will present an historic map of Bermuda to the Mayor, Cllr Michaela Ellis, and will then give talks on Elizabethan Lyme and Sir George Somers.

Said Peter: “Five years of research went into the book, over a year of which was devoted to constructing a map of Elizabethan Lyme from the archives.”

The author will sign copies of his book in the interval when tea and coffee will be served. The book costs £12 and anyone who wants to buy a copy on the night, is asked to bring the exact money if possible. For further information, please contact David Cox on 01297 443156.
