Police arrest four people after raid

Police executed two Misuse of Drugs Act warrants at Axminster on Tuesday, April 17.

A 27-year-old woman, a 39-year-old man, a 42-year-old man and a 56-year-old man, all from Axminster were arrested on suspicion of concern in the supply of a Class A drug and were released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Sgt Karen Bunt said: “A quantity of drugs were seized by police and four people were arrested and a number of weapons were recovered from the address.

“We want to provide reassurance to the local community of Axminster and the surrounding areas that this criminal activity is not accepted and encourage members of the public to report or share any information they have, either anonymously via Crimestoppers or through 101 or the Devon and Cornwall police website.

“It is important that we work together to tackle the community problems in East Devon, it is only by working with the public that we will be able to maximise the police response to criminal activities which are active in the local area.”
