Deer hit by lorry in Shirwell

A vet had to be called to the scene this morning (Thurs).

A DEER had to be put down this morning (Thurs) after being hit by a lorry just outside of Shirwell.

The driver of the Bristol Fruit Sales lorry reported the incident just outside Woolley Lodge at 7.10am.

A Police spokesman said the deer was badly injured and a vet was called to the scene to dispatch the animal.
