Flood-damaged boilers stop play for charity event.

BEARS might not have prevented Johnny Kingdom from going to Alaska but old boilers have stopped him from going to Braunton Parish Hall.

An Evening with Johnny Kingdom at the hall this Friday (February 1) has had to be cancelled after the boilers in the hall cellar were inundated in the recent floods, and unfortunately will not be replaced in time for Friday.

The evening had been arranged by Tom McCormack of Braunton Caen Rotary Club to raise money for local good causes. Anyone with ticket refund queries can contact him at Braunton Mobility Shop on 01271 814577.
